Dr George Sokota is a professional accountant by background and training, having spent most of his career with Deloitte &a Touche, where he was Senior Partner for many years.
He is a leading businessman with interests in various business sectors.
He is a current or past director on the boards of a number of notable companies, several of which he chairs, including Airtel Zambia Plc, Zambian Breweries Plc, Nshimbi Steel.
George was awarded an honorary Doctorate by the University of Zambia in 2018.
